Across his career he would spin out hit after hit, from the Macintosh home computer, the iPod, the iPad, and most famously &#8211; the iPhone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim Cook would then take the reins at the top of Apple and transform it into one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world. Cook\u2019s Apple would become a company marked by incredible cash flows and small iterations &#8211; not the zero to one quantum leaps that Jobs inspired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cook Unveils \u2018New Era of Computing\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Then on 5 June 2023 Apple would unveil its first major product innovation in close to a decade: An AR \/ VR headset called the Apple Vision Pro that CEO Tim Cook said \u2018marks the beginning of a new era for computing\u2019 for the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/v_11mXyUDPMV9caswSyIMKkOy49o4OB0qlw05j5DiCxFb-jCMmYwOWN0vPQEqkCruBXuBCV76_0EI7CLjlw-JrrEOWHI7I7i07kZVneAqRE2dU5kvl0JhkK57406VR09LrmuGn2sxvKoa3ogydaOEts\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Source: Apple Official Youtube<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built on the visionOS, the AR \/ VR headset promises to transform the way individuals interact and experience applications, entertainment, and even social connection.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Cook elaborated, the Vision Pro is \u2018Built upon decades of Apple innovation, [and is] years ahead and unlike anything created before \u2014 with a revolutionary new input system and thousands of groundbreaking innovations.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vision Pro is set to retail for US$3,499 and will be available to the public in early 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apple Share Price Outlook<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The general response to the Vision Pro from individuals, the media, and internet commentators was mixed, with some criticising the pricing while others derided the design of the headset.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reaction from investors has also been subdued since the headset was announced, with the Apple (<a href=\"https:\/\/app.syfe.com\/?link=https:\/\/www.syfe.com\/goto%2FStock%3FisAt%3Dtrue%26isLoginRequired%3Dtrue%26securityId%3DAAPL%3AUS&amp;apn=com.syfe&amp;ofl=https:\/\/www.syfe.com\/trade\/&amp;isi=1497156434&amp;ibi=com.syfe\">NYSE:AAPL<\/a>) share price trading flat between June 5 to 9, last at US$180.57 per share, though still up 44% YTD.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/app.syfe.com\/?link=https:\/\/www.syfe.com\/goto%2FStock%3FisAt%3Dtrue%26isLoginRequired%3Dtrue%26securityId%3DAAPL%3AUS&amp;apn=com.syfe&amp;ofl=https:\/\/www.syfe.com\/trade\/&amp;isi=1497156434&amp;ibi=com.syfe\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/0fnr2CH0nXJU8gMueMdl7_esHArw5WDqYr6crljOwPwhJI_9LK0tXyI_ZkBXxxjyvZuIzAPkkZ_UiKcLogn-eEOrbypSGqoJt0rz8vbnmzopNXQqtzYmOh8gUtoAz4Lw47ka-koldkMi52ljhmqWwrg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Source: Google Finance&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite that, sell side analysts from key investment banks raised their price targets on Apple following the Vision Pro reveal:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Credit Suisse boosted their price target to US$200 from US$188<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Morgan Stanley analysts raised their price target to US$190 from US$185<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jefferies Financial Group bumped up their price target on Apple to US$210 from US$195<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bank of America increased their price target to US$190 from US$176<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More broadly, Apple currently has a Buy rating on average from analysts and an average estimated price target of US$186.27 per share, implying potential upside of around 3.1% from where the stock traded at on 9 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts have historically, and continue to, like Apple.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What the Vision Pro Means for Apple\u2019s Business&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s impossible to separate Apple from the iPhone. Not only is it arguably one of the most important pieces of technology ever invented, but it remains the most important piece of the Apple empire.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fiscal 2022, Apple sold around 225 million iPhones, generating a staggering US$205.4 billion in revenue in the process, equal to 52% of the company\u2019s total revenue for the year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/OvUy1VvKwWir0FFVZQPRpRsrR98yvECC3f5BDvh60zixoUdPOpIDzyhSI0KQsK9e138L8CwxGv24L9SA_mTtriMir_nqCKG1xeJLHExinuuMYKQP2ASA_fjQ7X_7raTf2GI_-Hz9bDqyf0jBHbmr-Kc\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Source: Apple&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be sure, Apple is acutely aware of just how reliant it is on the iPhone, with efforts in recent years being made to diversify its revenue streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple\u2019s Wearables, Home, and Accessories segment &#8211; which includes the Apple Watch, the company\u2019s last innovative leap &#8211; contributed US$41.2 billion to the company\u2019s top line in 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high margin Services segment &#8211; which derives its revenue from core Apple services like iTunes, Apple Music, Apple Pay and purchases made within the App Store &#8211; generated total 2022 revenue of US$78.1 billion &#8211; or 19% of total revenue.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the impressive performances from the likes of Services or Wearables, without Jobs, Apple has been unable to \u2018build a new iPhone\u2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not to say that aggressive iteration and shareholder friendly manoeuvres like share buy backs haven\u2019t gotten them far &#8211; Apple is after all the most valuable public company in America, boasting a market capitalisation of US$2.840 trillion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/eGkKUBVnCmG9WqDzNFSW14fP5B4DAdjWdhZop2E3W-18LNUmsI1o5AymtqzlbeIw68Ut6_2LbNPPNLd6EGd5FZ3vHi8SPgE6KTO69mUvoHz7Ew4FJwrG4Z6mGqeFvM_TBtUBPkNo3B0TqE5Q2ec9G50\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Source: CompaniesMarketcap<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Analysts are Saying About the Vision Pro<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>But what comes next for Apple?
