It operates through the following segments: Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS), Networking, Intelligent Cellular and Security Solutions (NICS), Access Network Solutions (ANS), and Corporate and Other. The CCS segment focuses on fiber optic, copper connectivity, and cable solutions for use in telecommunications, cable television, residential broadband networks, data centers, and business enterprises. The NICS segment provides wireless networks for enterprises and service providers. The ANS segment refers to the cable modem termination systems, video infrastructure, distribution and transmission equipment, and cloud solutions that enable facility-based service providers to construct a residential and metro distribution network. The company was founded by Frank M. Drendel in 1976 and is headquartered in Richardson, TX.
