It can be hard to find safe places to park your cash and achieve a decent return on your savings. This is why Syfe built our cash management account as a hub for all your money.
In essence, Syfe Cash+ Flexi lets you earn more on your savings with a yield of 4.4% per annum for Flexi USD and 2.3% per annum for Flexi HKD.
Cash+ Flexi is built for investors looking to earn higher returns on their idle cash while preserving their capital and is suitable for their immediate and near-term cash needs.
How we built Syfe Cash+ Flexi
The Cash+ Flexi portfolio is constructed using SFC-authorised Money Market Funds from Gaoteng and Taikang, the two largest asset managers in the money market fund space in Hong Kong. The objective of Cash+ Flexi is to enable investors to achieve a return in line with or above the prevailing money market rates, with primary considerations of maintaining low risk and high liquidity.
When constructing Cash+ Flexi, we have considered not just the published yields of the underlying funds but also credit, diversification, currency and duration risk of the underlying funds. The fund allocation you see has been thoughtfully and carefully managed by the Syfe investment team to optimise yield while balancing these risks. Syfe Cash+ Flexi USD never had a single negative return day since its launch in 2022.
What is a Money Market Fund?
Money Market Fund is a type of a mutual fund that invests in a portfolio of highly liquid and short-term cash and cash like instruments with aims of preserving your capital while has the potential of earning interest rate commensurate with market interest rate.
The SFC has quite tight investment guidelines for money market funds, especially around the quality of assets and the liquidity that the managers have to adhere to. This is the reason why these funds offer a higher liquidity and less volatility when compared to other mutual funds.
For instance, the Taikang Kaitai Hong Kong Dollar Money Market Fund holds HKD denominated short-term deposits and high quality money market instruments issued by governments, quasi-governments, international organisations and financial institutions.
Why are Money Market Funds called ‘parking funds’?
During periods of market volatility, in addition to holding cash, you can also consider choosing MMF: When you are waiting for an entry point for an investment fund, Money Market Fund could be a good alternative to sitting on cash and providing the opportunities to earn returns in the Money Market. In addition, it can be a great way to earn higher interest on your idle cash sitting in the bank.
Money Market Funds, also known as ‘parking funds’, have relatively lower risks than other funds, and for Syfe Cash+ Flexi, there is no management fee or in/out transaction fees for investing into or withdrawing from Flexi portfolio.
Why Invest with Syfe Cash+ Flexi

There is no minimum investment amount nor minimum balance required for Cash+ Flexi. As with Syfe’s other investment portfolios, there are absolutely no lock-ups too. This means you can make unlimited fund transfers and withdrawals in the way that works best for you, at no cost.
Cash+ Flexi also provides daily accrual of returns, unlike savings accounts and fixed deposits. Savings accounts pay out interest monthly while fixed deposits typically make interest payments quarterly or annually.
The benefit of your returns being accrued daily is that you can see your savings grow every day as your returns are automatically reflected in your Cash+ Flexi portfolio value. Should you opt to withdraw your funds, you get to keep all returns accumulated during the period you invest in Cash+ Flexi. Should you opt to continue investing with Cash+ Flexi, you can let your returns compound to grow your cash more quickly.
Understanding the Yield
As a cash management product, Syfe Cash+ Flexi is designed to provide you the best possible return on your cash with the lowest possible risk of loss.
We invest your funds into the institutional share class of the underlying funds which retail investors do not normally have access to. The institutional share class of these funds have lower management fees and expense ratios. On top of that, we do not charge any management fee on our Cash+ Flexi USD portfolios, and any fund-level rebates we receive are passed on to clients. These added savings meaningfully enhance the net returns you receive from your Cash+ Flexi USD portfolio.

Is Cash+ Flexi safe?
